Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (as required by state regulations)
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and caseloads while staying organized and responsive
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and supporting diverse populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative services, including crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral coaching
- Interpret assessment data and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer recommendations to foster student growth and success
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in the field of school psychology
