Job Description

Enhance the educational and emotional well-being of students by providing expert psychological services in a supportive K-12 environment. This contract position is based in Hartford, CT, and spans the academic year from August to June, requiring approximately 20 hours of work per week.

Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut School Psychologist license
  • Expertise in psychological assessments and interventions for K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience providing counseling and support to students with diverse needs

Location: Hartford, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers
  • Provide short-term counseling and support to students and families
  • Consult with school staff regarding behavioral interventions and support strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
  • Provide training and resources to staff and parents on mental health and wellness
