Exciting opportunity available in the Gurnee, IL area for a skilled School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 academic year! This full-time, contract position offers the chance to support K-8th grade students throughout the entire school year, making a lasting difference as part of a collaborative school community.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychology endorsement and demonstrate a passion for working in educational settings. Previous experience in schools is highly valued, as is a commitment to providing comprehensive assessments and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois PEL in School Psychology is required
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication abilities and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with servicing students across K-8th grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and evaluations for elementary and middle school students
- Participate in the development, review, and implementation of IEPs
- Collaborate with educators and families to promote academic and social-emotional success
- Support school staff with interventions, problem solving, and data-driven decision making
- Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Contribute to positive learning environments that support diverse needs
