Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist (as required by state standards)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong skills in conducting psychological and educational assessments
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP development, 504 plans, and RTI/MTSS frameworks
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for assessment, interpreting results and sharing findings with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs and Section 504 plans
- Provide direct support services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and skill development
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design supportive interventions and promote students academic, social, and behavioral success
- Contribute expertise to crisis response and prevention programming
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant legal and ethical standards
