Job Description

A full-time onsite opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist, focusing primarily on elementary evaluations to determine special education eligibility for students. This role is essential in supporting the educational needs of PreK-12 students, with a significant emphasis on fostering their academic and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist licensure
  • Experience in administering and interpreting psychological evaluations in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
  • Ability to implement a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework
  • Expertise in determining eligibility under Section 504 and Multi-Disciplinary Teams (METs)

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs and determine special education eligibility
  • Collaborate with district and building teams to implement MTSS frameworks
  • Lead discussions within METs regarding evaluation results and eligibility criteria
  • Provide support and guidance to teachers, staff, and families regarding student mental health and educational strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student evaluations and interventions
