Step into a pivotal role supporting middle school students as a School Psychologist on a full-time, contract basis. Youll provide critical guidance and assessment for a diverse range of learners, helping shape positive educational experiences in a dynamic school environment near Evanston, IL. Your expertise will support students, families, and educators through collaborative teamwork and thoughtful intervention.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Previous experience working in school-based settings, especially with middle school populations, is preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultative skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and outside agencies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results
- Develop and help implement intervention strategies tailored for individual student needs
- Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams for IEP and Section 504 plan development
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support positive academic and behavioral outcomes
- Maintain timely, accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
