Position Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and licensed Elementary School-Based Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting student success through comprehensive psychological evaluations, collaboration with educators and families, and active participation in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and student concern meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Participate in MTSS and student concern meetings, providing professional input to support intervention planning.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
Monitor and support student progress, adjusting recommendations as needed.
Maintain accurate and confidential records consistent with legal and ethical standards.
Provide consultation and professional development to school staff on psychological and behavioral topics.
Qualifications:
Masters degree or higher in Psychology or related field.
Must hold full state licensure as a Psychologist.
Minimum of 2 years experience working in school settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to student-centered practices and culturally responsive services.
