This engaging full-time opportunity serves two schools, supporting young learners in elementary and middle school settings throughout the academic year. Located just 45 minutes south of Washington, DC, this contract role offers a dynamic blend of on-site work with the possibility of a hybrid schedulefour days on-site and one remote per week.

Responsibilities include assessment and consultation, providing FBA/BIP support, and occasional MTSS collaboration. While the primary focus is not academic achievement testing, you may occasionally consult with social workers regarding counseling matters. Each building is staffed with its own educational diagnostician, ensuring a specialized and collaborative environment.

Youll work 37.5 hours per week, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and serve students in northern Stafford at both an elementary and a middle school location.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Department of Education Certification
  • Active Virginia School Psychologist License
  • Experience in assessment, FBA/BIP planning and implementation, and consultation for school-aged learners
  • Comfort collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, including support for MTSS initiatives
  • Willingness to complete the required Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly
  • Recent TB test in compliance with Virginia regulations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies for students
  • Consult with educators and families to support student success
  • Assist in FBA/BIP processes and provide consultation on MTSS as needed
