Job Description

Dynamic opportunity for School Psychologists to support student well-being and academic success in an engaging educational environment. This contract position is based in Detroit, MI, for the duration of the school year, allowing for meaningful contributions to the mental health and development of students.

Qualifications:

  • Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrative staff
  • Proficient in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

  • Detroit, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
  • Provide consultation services to educators and parents regarding student mental health
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students
  • Plan and conduct professional development workshops for staff on mental health topics
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
