Job Description

A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available at an elementary school serving grades K-5 in Des Plaines, IL. This position is a full school year contract, providing essential psychological services that support student success and well-being. The role focuses on working collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to address emotional, social, and academic needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and support services to students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote positive school climate
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to special education processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child development, educational psychology, and assessment tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage sensitively with diverse student populations
