Job Description

This position offers an opportunity to serve as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting located in Des Plaines, IL. The role is a contract position during the current school year (CSY), with onsite responsibilities focused on supporting elementary and middle school students. The position involves a 25-hour work week and requires a valid Illinois School Psychologist license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary and middle school students.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
  • Provide counseling and support to students addressing behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to student support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a valid Illinois School Psychologist License.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in elementary and middle school settings.
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with educators, parents, and students in a collaborative environment.
