Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by bringing your expertise in school psychology to a supportive, forward-thinking educational environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35-37.5 hours and centers on providing critical services at two elementary school sites. While this is primarily an onsite role, there is flexibility for a hybrid model (three days onsite, two days remote), along with potential for fully virtual options.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and support IEPs, providing crucial input and recommendations.
  • Conduct cognitive assessments, executive function evaluations, and behavior intervention planning (BIPs).
  • Play a vital role in implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), ensuring early intervention and ongoing support for students.
  • Facilitate and participate in eligibility determinations and consultation for 504 plans.
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Engage in ongoing communication and teamwork at two elementary school campuses.

Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland School Psychologist License (required).
  • Strong foundation in IEP and BIP development, executive function and cognitive assessment.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, especially in MTSS and 504 eligibility settings.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment is highly valued.
  • Comfort with technology to support hybrid or virtual work, if needed.
