Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Masters degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current, active school psychologist license issued by the State of Louisiana
- Proven experience working in school-based environments, preferably across elementary, middle, and high school
- Solid understanding of psychoeducational assessments, behavioral intervention strategies, and special education processes
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive school environment
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation in a timely manner
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individual education recommendations for students
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to design and implement interventions
- Support social, emotional, and behavioral needs through counseling and direct services
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and problem-solving team meetings
- Provide crisis intervention and guidance as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with local and state guidelines
