Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a current MI School Psychologist Certificate
  • Experience in school-based psychological services is highly valued
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in conducting cognitive, developmental, and behavioral assessments
  • Familiarity with special education processes and regulations

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer a wide range of assessments to evaluate attention, adaptive skills, behavioral support needs, autism spectrum concerns, and other relevant areas
  • Collaborate closely with evaluation team members during initial reviews and re-evaluations
  • Conduct cognitive and developmental testing to support educational recommendations and programming
  • Serve as a contributing member of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to help determine when students may need to be referred for special education services
  • Take a lead role in initial evaluation meetings and participate in some re-evaluation sessions
  • Support Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP) meetings, offering insights and recommendations
  • Participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews as needed, ensuring student rights are upheld and appropriate interventions are developed
