Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract role providing critical psychological services to students in a dynamic educational setting. In this full-time position, youll exclusively support a single school, working closely with approximately 80 students ranging from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This assignment covers a maternity leave period from August 4th through October 1st, 2026, and offers an opportunity to foster growth and well-being in young learners.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Psychologist certification for the state of California
  • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential required
  • Experience working in a school setting with TK-8th grade students strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and develop student-centered support strategies

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite psychological services, including counseling and consultative support, to students in both elementary (TK-5th) and middle school (6th-8th) populations
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 80 students, ensuring their emotional, behavioral, and academic needs are addressed
  • Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create supportive educational plans
  • Offer crisis intervention, prevention programs, and individual or group counseling as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with educational and ethical standards
