Step into a dynamic role in the Oak Lawn area, working with students as a School Psychologist for a rewarding contract position. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am-3:00pm, totaling 35 hours each week. As a valued member of an educational team, you'll support student growth and well-being, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and administrators.
Ideal candidates bring experience with evaluations, re-evaluations, and participating in IEP meetings. Your expertise will help shape individualized plans and make a direct impact in the school community. Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience with conducting psycho-educational evaluations and re-evaluations
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education law
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and school teams
- Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to meeting deadlines
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations as required
- Participate in IEP meetings to develop and review student supports
- Provide direct consultation and intervention for students, staff, and families
- Interpret assessment results and offer clear recommendations
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster safe, supportive learning environments
