Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in the educational and psychological needs of elementary students. This role focuses on supporting a diverse group of 145 students with IEPs, working alongside a veteran school psychologist to enhance each child's learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Valid state certification or licensure in School Psychology
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children, preferably in grades K-5
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and other professionals

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop appropriate IEPs
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students emotional and psychological well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to implement effective interventions
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and uphold a supportive school environment
  • Provide training and resources to staff regarding mental health and wellness
