Job Description

Provide psychological services as the dedicated school psychologist for a K-12 school located in Chaparral, NM. This full-time, onsite position spans the 2025-2026 school year with the possibility of extending through the Extended School Year (ESY) until the end of June. The role focuses primarily on serving middle school students through therapy, crisis intervention, and conducting re-evaluations, ensuring comprehensive support to meet students' educational and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group therapy services tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct psychological re-evaluations and assessments.
  • Manage crisis intervention and provide timely support during emergencies.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid New Mexico state licensure as a school psychologist is required.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 licensure preferred; Level 1 candidates will be considered.
  • Previous experience providing therapy and crisis management in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a supportive district environment.
  • Ability to travel between campuses if necessary; travel time will be compensated.
