Job Description

A full-time position is available for a skilled professional specializing in school psychology. This role is set in a dynamic high school environment with a diverse student population of 700. The primary focus will be on supporting and addressing the needs of approximately 120 students within the special education (SPED) sector, primarily through conducting three-year re-evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid school psychologist license or certification
  • Experience working with middle and high school students
  • Proficiency in performing student evaluations and developing IEPs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Aspen or similar IEP management systems
  • Ability to serve as a chairperson in IEP meetings

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive re-evaluations for students in special education, focusing on their educational needs and progress
  • Manage a caseload primarily consisting of middle and high school students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions
  • Serve as a chairperson in IEP meetings, facilitating discussions and ensuring effective communication
  • Utilize Aspen as an IEP system to document evaluations and track student progress
  • Maintain a clear and organized schedule to manage 40 re-evaluations annually
