A full-time opportunity for a dedicated professional specializing in the needs of high school students has become available in Boston, MA. Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with high school-aged students
  • Strong reassessment and evaluation skills, particularly in special education
  • Familiarity with IEP systems, preferably Aspen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Location:
Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and re-evaluations for approximately 120 students, focusing primarily on special education needs
  • Serve as the chairperson in multidisciplinary meetings for students undergoing re-evaluation
  • Manage a caseload of 40 re-evaluations per year, ensuring timely and thorough assessments
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement appropriate interventions based on evaluation results
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the IEP system
  • Provide guidance and support to educators and parents regarding students psychological needs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in school psychology
