Step into an impactful role serving K-12 students as a school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position, located near Bosque Farms, offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit charter school environment, serving around 500 students across various grade levels. With support from district staff and a welcoming school culture, you'll have the resources necessary to provide vital psychological services and help students thrive.
In this position, you'll play a key role in supporting students well-being and academic success. Your expertise in assessment, counseling, and consultation will be invaluable as you address a wide range of student needs and collaborate with dedicated educators and families.
What were seeking:
- Active New Mexico PED license required
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist in K-12 settings
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Comfort working with diverse student populations and age groups
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and staff
- Capable of managing a varied caseload within a charter school context
- Ability to adapt to virtual and in-person collaboration as needed
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to support special education eligibility and student needs
- Implement interventions and provide counseling for students
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators
- Develop and participate in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Contribute to a proactive, inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress
