Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure as required by Georgia state regulations
- Strong background in conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting results
- Ability to provide effective counseling and crisis intervention
- Experience developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with current educational laws and special education compliance
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students academic and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Provide individual and group counseling to address student concerns and improve social skills
- Consult with staff on classroom accommodations and behavioral interventions
