Job Description

A reputable elementary school in Acton, MA, is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to provide vital support throughout the current school year on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic and emotional well-being of young students within a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and support services to help students manage social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and academic success.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or certification to practice as a School Psychologist in Massachusetts.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, special education laws, and psychological testing procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse student populations and school staff.
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting is highly desirable.
