Providing comprehensive health services in a school setting, this role focuses on maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students by managing the health room and delivering direct nursing care.

Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: School Year (NSY) Contract
Position Summary:
Functioning as a Health Room Nurse (RN BSN), you will report directly to the District RN Supervisor. The position demands strong clinical skills with independent management of the school health clinic, supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor student responses
• Conduct student triage and respond to emergencies promptly and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records for immunizations and essential health documentation
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to coordinate student care
• Provide first aid and diabetic monitoring services
• Oversee the daily operations of the school health clinic independently
• Supervise LPNs and support their activities to ensure quality healthcare delivery
• Work alongside other clinic nurses to maintain a coordinated approach to student health

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to work full-time during the school year with a high degree of reliability and professionalism
• Strong organizational and communication skills
