A Health Room Nurse role is available in the Tampa, FL area, providing an opportunity to support student health within a school setting. This contract position requires ensuring comprehensive care through medication administration, student triage, emergency response, and maintaining accurate immunization records. The nurse will engage in effective communication with parents and teachers, administer first aid, conduct diabetic monitoring, and collaborate closely with other clinic nurses to maintain optimal health services. The position also involves independently managing the school health clinic and supervising LPN staff to ensure high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications safely and accurately
• Perform student triage and respond to emergencies
• Maintain detailed records for immunizations and health treatments
• Communicate proactively with parents, teachers, and healthcare teams
• Provide first aid and ongoing health monitoring, including diabetic care
• Collaborate with clinic nursing staff and work independently in clinic operations
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and support their workflow

Qualifications:

• Active Florida RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Full-time availability for the duration of the contract
