Job Description

A part-time nursing opportunity is available to support a preschool student with complex medical needs in an elementary school setting located in Rochester, NH. This contract position is set to begin in mid-February with a tentative end date in June 2026. The role requires a compassionate nurse familiar with school nursing and pediatric care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care to a preschool student with complex medical conditions, including management of an NG tube and seizure response.
  • Support the student during school mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from approximately 8:00 to 11:00 am.
  • Potentially accompany the student on the school bus to ensure safety and care needs are met during transportation.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, family, and healthcare providers to maintain consistent, high-quality care.
  • Maintain documentation and comply with medical and educational regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates may be considered based on district requirements.
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing essential.
  • Ability to manage complex medical equipment and respond to seizures confidently.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork mindset.
  • Current nursing license valid in New Hampshire.
