Job Description
A Registered Nurse is needed to provide 1:1 medically fragile support in an elementary school setting. This contract position offers approximately 10 hours per week, with shifts from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2025. The role is based in Bradford, VT, supporting students in the elementary grade level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care and medically fragile support to assigned student
- Monitor and manage medical needs in accordance with established care plans
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure student safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Respond to emergencies using CPR and BLS techniques as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont is required
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in school nursing and providing care to medically fragile children is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently in a school environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
