We are seeking a qualified School RN to join a supportive school district in the New Brunswick, New Jersey area for the upcoming school year. As a School RN, you'll work closely with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure students receive the care they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical services to students and staff.
  • Administer medications and monitor students with chronic and acute health conditions.
  • Develop and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and health documentation.
  • Conduct health assessments, screenings, and maintain accurate student medical records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and physicians to support student health and academic success.
  • Educate students and staff on health, wellness, disease prevention, and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with New Jersey school health regulations, district policies, and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous pediatric, school nursing, public health, or community health experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students, families, and school personnel.

Compensation for this position ranges from $32.00 to $52.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
