Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for supporting student health and well-being in educational settings. This role focuses on providing nursing care during the Extended School Year (ESY) session, supporting students and staff across multiple sites.
Key Dates & Schedule:
- July 69: 8am2pm at the high school
- July 1418: 8am2pm at both elementary and high school locations
- July 2224: 8am2pm at the high school
- July 2832: 8am2pm at the elementary school
- August 46: 8am12pm at the elementary school
What You'll Need:
- Current RN license in New Hampshire
- At least one year of nursing experience, with preference for backgrounds in school nursing or pediatric care
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary education team
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and educators
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience developing and implementing care plans for students with diverse medical needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct health care to students, administering medications and minor first aid as needed
- Monitor student health plans, responding to medical emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote a healthy and safe learning environment
- Maintain accurate and timely health records in accordance with school policy and nursing standards
- Support health education initiatives and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
