Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse supporting a vibrant school community during their Extended School Year (ESY) program near Manchester, NH. This short-term assignment is perfect for experienced school nurses or RNs seeking a dynamic and rewarding role over the summer.
In this position, you'll provide essential health services to students, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout scheduled ESY sessions. Your involvement will span multiple sites, including both elementary and high school settings based on the following dates and times:
- July 6-9, 8am-2pm: High school
- July 14-18, 8am-2pm: Both elementary and high school
- July 22-24, 8am-2pm: High school
- July 28-32, 8am-2pm: Elementary school
- August 4-6, 8am-12pm: Elementary school
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Previous school nursing experience or pediatric nursing background preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with educational staff
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
- CPR and First Aid certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care, including medication administration and first aid
- Document health records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assess and address daily health concerns, from minor injuries to chronic conditions
- Act as a resource and advocate for student health needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support a healthy learning environment
