A registered nurse is needed to provide dedicated support for a student in a K-12 school setting in Lewiston, ME. This contract position will last through the current school year, ending in June 2026, with approximately 24 hours scheduled per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany and assist a student with seizures during the school day, from bus pickup (8:30 am) through 2:00 pm.
- Provide close supervision to ensure safety while the student walks with a helmet and drop harness.
- Implement and follow an established seizure plan tailored to the students medical needs.
- Support the students activities and needs throughout the school day in compliance with healthcare and educational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in pediatrics or school nursing preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in a structured school environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff and families.
- Familiarity with seizure care and emergency response procedures.
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Duration: ASAP until June 10, 2026
Schedule: Approximately 24 hours per week, specific days to be confirmed.
