A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to support the health needs of K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role involves working within a school health room to provide essential nursing care and services, ensuring the well-being and safety of students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students in a school setting, addressing acute and chronic health issues.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians orders and school policies.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and monitor students health status.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives among students and staff.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid RN license.
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with school personnel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a health room independently.

Location: Nottingham, MD
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Duration: August 18 June (contract for the ESY program)
Assignment: One school, serving K-12 students
