Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid NJ RN license required.
  • Prior experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Proficient in administering routine care, managing emergencies, and educating staff.
  • Strong communication and organization skillsessential for managing records and staff instruction.
  • Ability to train staff as epinephrine delegates according to NJDOE/NJDOH state protocols.
  • Comfortable working independently and as an on-call resource when needed.

What Youll Do:

  • Serve as the general health nurse onsite two days per week (9am4pm), providing care for all students.
  • Complete immunization audits for a caseload of 30+ students before the September 9 deadline.
  • Develop individualized emergency care plans for students identified through health forms.
  • Educate and train fellow staff members on epinephrine administration protocols.
  • Support health needs throughout the academic year, maintaining compliance and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Be available for occasional on-call responsibilities.

This assignment starts around August 10th and runs through June 2027, offering a consistent school-year schedule: 14 hours weekly, two days in person.
