Job Description

This full-time position spans from September 2nd through June 4th, offering the chance to support K-12 learners across various schools. Youll work onsite, primarily in a 1:1 capacity with students who require dedicated medical care, including those with trach, ventilator, or wheelchair needs. Proficiency in diabetic, seizure, and g-tube support is highly valued. Flexibility is key, as students may need assistance during bus travel and with toileting responsibilitiesthese are essential parts of the role.

Your nursing expertise will be crucial, as no additional supervision will be provided. The district provides a supportive environment and school-based resources, helping you thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN or RN license in Washington State is required
  • Previous experience with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred
  • Familiarity with trach, ventilator care, wheelchair support, diabetes, seizure protocols, and g-tube care
  • Comfortable assisting with student mobility, bus travel, and toileting needs
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing student and school needs
  • Full-time availability, 32.537.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday
  • Must be able to complete fingerprinting and onboarding requirements prior to starting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to assigned students on campus and during bus travel
  • Follow student health plans and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate proactively with staff, students, and families
  • Support a safe, inclusive learning environment for all
