A part-time nursing opportunity is available to support a preschool student with complex medical needs, including NG tube care and seizure management, in an elementary school setting. This position offers a specialized role providing skilled nursing care and support during school hours in Derry, NH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care for a preschool student with complex medical conditions.
- Administer care related to NG tube feeding and seizure management.
- Potentially accompany the student on school transportation as needed.
- Collaborate with educational staff and healthcare providers to ensure the student's health and safety.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) consideration based on district interview.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
- Competence in managing complex medical needs such as feeding tubes and seizure disorders.
- Ability to work independently and calmly in emergency situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, families, and school personnel.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in an elementary school setting in Derry, NH.
- Part-time hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, approximately 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
- Contract duration from mid-February to June 15, 2026.
- Start date contingent upon receipt of necessary medical equipment and documentation.
