Step into a meaningful nursing role supporting elementary-aged students in a vibrant educational environment near Clarks Summit, PA. This part-time contract opportunity invites a compassionate Registered Nurse to work on Mondays and Fridays, caring for young learners during two dedicated days each week.
Ideal candidates will have an active RN license and bring hands-on experience with both breathing and feeding equipment. Your clinical expertise will ensure the safety and well-being of students with specialized medical needs, allowing them to thrive in the classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Previous experience managing breathing and feeding equipment in a pediatric or school-based setting
- Strong communication abilities to coordinate care with school staff and parents
- A commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment for elementary school children
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and emergency interventions as needed during the school day
- Monitor and assist students with medical equipment, such as feeding tubes or respiratory devices
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and allied professionals to support student health and learning
- Educate staff on best practices for supporting medically complex students
