Job Description

A Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available in Heidelberg, PA, serving a K-12 school district. This full-time, contract role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services in an educational setting, supporting students across all grade levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the school health room and provide direct nursing care to students.
  • Oversee and coordinate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) related to health needs.
  • Monitor and support students with multiple disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to create a healthy school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and implement health plans for chronic conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified School Nurse (CSN).
  • Proven experience working with children in a school setting, preferably across K-12 grade levels.
  • Ability to manage healthcare plans for students with multiple disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
  • Current RN licensure may be required or beneficial.

Location and Schedule:

  • Based in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania.
  • Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Contract duration: current school year (CSY) until June 5, 2025.
  • Immediate start date available.
