Make a difference in the lives of young learners as an onsite school nurse serving early childhood students. This part-time, as-needed contract position is located near Camden Wyoming, DE, and offers the chance to work closely with staff and families to ensure the health and safety of children during their school day.
Your expertise will be valued as you support the well-being of early learners while meeting the unique needs of a school setting.
What we're seeking:
- Active Delaware RN license required
- Previous pediatric or school nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to foster a welcoming and caring environment for young students
- Strong assessment and communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering routine and emergency nursing care to students on-site as needed
- Collaborating with school staff and parents to support student health plans
- Managing and administering daily medications, treatments, and first aid
- Monitoring and documenting student health concerns, immunizations, and health histories
- Educating students and staff on wellness topics relevant to early childhood
