Make a positive impact on student health and well-being across multiple school communities by providing expert nursing care and advocacy. This contract opportunity involves serving as an itinerant Licensed School Nurse, working with five schools within a district. Youll play a pivotal role supporting students, staff, and families by ensuring that health policies and care plans are implemented effectively.
Ideal candidates are experienced registered nurses with a passion for school nursing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a large, varied caseload. This role is perfect for those who appreciate dynamic environments and value collaboration with diverse school populations.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Current Public Health Nurse license
- School Nurse license from the Board of Teaching
- CPR and BLS certifications
- Previous experience in school settings preferred or clinical nursing with youth
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing services and health education to students
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health needs
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding student health concerns and emergency procedures
- Oversee and coordinate health services districtwide, adapting to the needs of five school sites
- Advocate for student health and wellness initiatives
This assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, for 35 hours per week and is fully on-site (remote work is not permitted).
