This is a contract position with convenient Monday-Thursday hours from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PMleaving your afternoons free for personal pursuits or family time.
Your nursing skills will ensure a healthy, safe, and supportive summer school session. Youll collaborate with fellow educators, students, and families, providing direct care, medication administration, and health guidance tailored to the needs of the school community.
What were seeking:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with active, unrestricted credentials in the state
- Experience working with school-aged children or within a school setting strongly preferred
- Exceptional assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Proven ability to remain calm and effective in both routine cases and urgent situations
- Positive, adaptable, and compassionate demeanor
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering daily nursing care and first aid for students and staff
- Monitoring and managing chronic health conditions, allergies, and acute illnesses
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician and school guidelines
- Maintaining accurate and confidential health records
- Educating students and staff on health and wellness topics
- Collaborating with educators, support staff, and families for coordinated care
