Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated healthcare professional to provide essential nursing support in an elementary school setting during the summer program. This role focuses on delivering one-on-one care to a 2nd-grade student, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for children with unique medical needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license
  • Experience in school nursing, particularly with pediatric patients
  • Knowledge and understanding of diabetes management and autism spectrum disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Boston, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized patient care to the assigned 2nd-grade student
  • Monitor and manage the students diabetes, ensuring proper health protocols are followed
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the students health needs
  • Develop and implement appropriate care plans in coordination with healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate records of the students health data and progress
