Step into an essential role in student health as a dedicated Registered Nurse serving a diverse K-12 charter school community of approximately 500 students. This opportunity spans the entire academic year, beginning in early August and continuing through the end of May, offering the chance to work in a nurturing, education-focused setting near Albuquerque, NM.

As the onsite school nurse, youll manage the general health room, providing compassionate care and trusted guidance for students ranging from kindergarteners to high school seniors. Your expertise will ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive environment that helps each student thrive.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, with eligibility in New Mexico
• Certified as a school nurse through the NM Department of Education
• Experience working in a pediatric, school, or similar setting strongly preferred
• Understanding of common health concerns and care protocols for K-12 students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
• Thorough understanding of confidentiality and child wellness advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily health needs in the general health room
• Administer first aid, medications, and emergency care as needed
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support student well-being
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Educate students, staff, and families on health and wellness topics
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers and families as appropriate
• Follow all school, district, and state policies and safety guidelines
