Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | School Year Opportunity | Fredericksburg, VA Area

Sunbelt Staffing has partnered with a school district in the Fredericksburg, VA area to fill three Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) openings for the upcoming school year. In this role, you'll work directly with students receiving special education services, providing behavioral and instructional support in both one-on-one and small-group settings. This opportunity is ideal for RBTs who are passionate about helping students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional disabilities, and developmental delays build the skills needed for long-term success.

Position Responsibilities
Deliver behavioral support services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs
Provide direct support to students throughout the instructional day
Monitor, document, and track student progress using approved data collection systems
Assist with classroom transitions, routines, and behavior management strategies
Utilize approved de-escalation techniques to address challenging behaviors when necessary
Work collaboratively with teachers, special education teams, and related service providers
Qualifications
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings and clearances
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist students with physical needs as required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RBT
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
Experience supporting students with ASD, developmental delays, and emotional disabilities
Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and data collection methods
Schedule
Full-time position
Monday through Friday
School-based schedule
