This full-time, contract position is ideal for passionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) or experienced paraprofessionals eager to contribute their skills within an emotional disability SDC classroom setting. Highlights of this role:
- Location conveniently accessible in the Foresthill area
- Commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Fridayenjoy afternoons off with a schedule of 8:00 am to 2:30 pm (includes lunch and breaks)
- Provide dedicated support throughout the 2026-2027 school year, starting in August
- Onsite presence required; meaningful, hands-on interactions with students and staff
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
OR - Prior paraprofessional work with behavioral support experience in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to support students unique needs
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavioral interventions and support strategies under classroom guidance
- Assist in creating a structured, encouraging classroom for students with emotional disabilities
- Collaborate with teachers and related service professionals to track student progress and adapt approaches
- Document observations and reinforce student achievement in partnership with the educational team
