Youll have the unique opportunity to provide direct, targeted support for a 10th-grade individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working closely alongside a behavior specialist, youll contribute to shaping and refining a behavior intervention plan that supports both immediate needs and future development. Key Requirements:
- Current GA RBT credential
- GAPSC certification
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and significant behavioral challenges preferred
- Comfort with behavioral crisis prevention/intervention techniques and physically active settings
- Ability to remain calm and professional during behavioral incidents
What Youll Do:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a high school student throughout each school morning (approx. 7:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., MondayFriday)
- Work collaboratively with behavioral specialists and school staff
- Implement, model, and monitor individualized behavior plans and intervention strategies
- Collect and maintain accurate, confidential behavioral data
- Assist in ensuring a safe environment by employing crisis intervention and approved safety procedures when necessary
