This contract role focuses on supporting a 10th-grade student with Autism Spectrum Disorder who requires specialized behavioral interventions and a compassionate, proactive approach.
Your day will begin early with structured hours from 7:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Fridaymaking this a great option for those seeking a part-time, stable schedule. In this environment, youll work closely with a dedicated behavior specialist, assist in designing and executing a tailored behavior intervention plan, and play a vital role in student progress.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active GA RBT certification and GAPSC credentials required.
- Experience working in high school settings strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in implementing behavior intervention plans and crisis prevention strategies.
- Ability to confidently address behavioral challenges, including managing physical aggression safely and professionally.
- Skilled in data collection and progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable in dynamic, physically active environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and monitor a 10th-grade student with behavioral needs.
- Model and reinforce intervention strategies.
- Collaborate daily with behavior specialists and school staff.
- Accurately document behavioral data and contribute to plan modifications.
- Employ safety protocols and crisis prevention interventions as needed to ensure a positive and secure environment.
