This part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position supports preschool-aged students across two school sites in Phoenix and Chandler, AZ. The role requires providing direct therapy services, documentation, and assistance to a supervising Physical Therapist. This contract-to-hire opportunity runs through the current school year, offering a dynamic and rewarding setting in an early childhood educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PTA services and support the supervising PT with caseload management
- Complete progress notes and maintain accurate therapy documentation
- Work itinerantly across two sites: Chandler (2 days/week) and West Phoenix (1 day/week)
- Serve the developmental needs of preschool-aged children in early childhood settings
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant license required
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Experience working with preschool-aged students preferred
- Ability to work effectively across multiple locations and adapt to an itinerant role
- Comfort with using IEP systems and maintaining communication with school teams
Additional Details:
- Part-time schedule: 3 days per week (2 days in Chandler, 1 day in West Phoenix)
- Position start: ASAP, continuing through end of school year (dates TBD)
- Interview format: Zoom or in-person, individual style
- Supervision provided by district staff
