Job Description

Seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a K-12 school setting in Hayward, CA. This contract position will support students throughout the current school year (CSY), providing essential therapy services that enhance physical development and assist with mobility challenges within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans designed by licensed therapists.
  • Assist students with exercises and mobility activities to improve motor skills.
  • Monitor and document student progress and communicate with therapists and school staff.
  • Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs in a classroom or therapy room.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to optimize student outcomes.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant certification and licensure.
  • Experience working as a PTA in a school or educational setting, preferably K-12.
  • Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy practices and educational environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, and school personnel.
  • Ability to manage caseloads in a structured, deadline-driven setting.
