Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Physical Therapist to make an impact in educational settings for the Fall 2026 semester. In this full-time, contract position, youll work 37.5 hours per week, providing essential therapy services for K-12 students across multiple school sites. This role covers maternity leave and is ideal for professionals who enjoy variety and collaboration in their workday. As an itinerant Physical Therapist, youll work closely with students, teachers, and families to help students overcome physical challenges and optimize their participation and success in school.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Physical Therapist license or certification in Oregon
  • Previous pediatric, school-based, or K-12 experience is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations as part of an itinerant schedule
  • Well-organized, resourceful, and enthusiastic about supporting diverse learners
  • Candidates must provide contact information for their three most recent supervisor references for application consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school-based physical therapy services to students in grades K-12, supporting IEP goals and maximizing educational access
  • Evaluate students using appropriate assessment tools and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments and ensure best outcomes for students
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Adapt therapy techniques and interventions for diverse school environments and student needs
