Make a meaningful impact on young learners as a Physical Therapist in an engaging elementary school environment. This contract role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to support PreK-2 students on-site during the upcoming school year. Working three hours per week with a small caseload, youll utilize your expertise to promote student mobility, participation, and success in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Physical Therapy license in North Carolina
- Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required)
- Prefer school-based or pediatric experience
- Proven ability to support students in PreK through second grade
- Comfortable working exclusively on-site
- Strong skills in collaborating with teachers, special educators, families, and other service providers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted physical therapy services in line with each students IEP
- Conduct assessments and collaborate on individualized treatment plans
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering input in team discussions
- Advocate for student mobility and assess needs for physical access throughout the school
- Regularly monitor and adjust interventions to maximize student progress
- Use systems such as ECATS and Infinite Campus for all documentation and reporting
